I am doing a slope stability analysis. I am trying to compare the factor of safety including seepage and without seepage. First, I calculated FOS using slope-W and I got 1.290 but when I used the seep-w results to do another slope w analysis and I am getting 1.445 when I am including seepage effect. Why am I getting higher…
Does anyone know, we have an old version of the GeoStudio program - 9.0.3.15488-Full, whose license has expired, and since we are no longer paying the subscription, Seequent doesn't want to help us. In the first line of the *.lic file, it shows when the license expired ## GEO-SLOPE International Ltd. FLEXnet License…
Hello, I am modeling the formation of a frozen body around a freezing pipe with flowing groundwater. When defining the materials I selected the "reduce flux in frozen soil". Looking at my results I still have water flowing through the frozen body. How can I make sure that the frozen body is impermeable? See also attached…
Good morning I have a liquefaction file and would like to know if a colored graph for regions of liquefaction can be shown. In the "Level Ground Shaking", the pdf shows it. Please advise. Thank you
What is the difference between Peak X-acceleration and X-acceleration in the graphical results. I tried to compare the two on the surface but results were not the same. Thank you
On some graphical outputs, the legend does not appear even if it is ticked to appear. Any reason for that? Thank you
Hi, I am modelling construction of a capping layer on top of the tailings. I use saturated model for tailings and unsat model for capping material. When I applied the first layer of capping layer, I get another water table at the top like a perched water table. I even use very low activation PWP and compressibility for…
I have two questions: In the Soil-structure interaction example file, the piles are given small properties ( area and moment of inertia). I searched the help and manual but was not able to find how to model a building on pile supported foundation. Is there any information that can be used? Can quake be used to analyze a…
Does anyone know if there are ready files for the above that one can use to import into quake/w? I am mainly looking for sand soil with an angle between -
When i do a probabalistic calculation i am among other things interested in the likelihood of failure for the specific Slope. That would be P(failure). When i do the calculation i only get P(failure) for the most critical slope, why is that? Should P(failure) not be presented for all valid slope calculations?
